On Friday December 1st, 2017 the 13th Annual Common Ground Awards were being held at the JW Marriott at Starpass to honor collaborative projects and outstanding nonprofits in Tucson. Tucson Change Movement was being honored as one of Tucson’s Outstanding Nonprofit Organizations along with the Tucson Arts Brigade, The Homeless Coalition, and the Tucson Homeless Work Program so the TCM team including John Jacobs, Donovan Durband, and myself (Chelsea Hoel) showed up to celebrate. There were a lot of fantastic collaborative projects that were honored that night including:

A Brighter TUS (Tucson International Airport Terminal Expansion), Arizona Pure Water Brew Challenge, Atlas Copco Remanufacturing Facility, Barrio Hollywood Community Outreach and Design, Caridad Community Kitchen Expansion, City Park Mixed Use Development, Global Advantage, Greyhound Terminal Relocation, Mission Garden, Northwest Recharge, Recovery, and Delivery System (NWRRDS), Project Prosperity, Proposition 101 – Invest in Tucson 2017, Ruthrauff Basin Management Plan, Sabino Canyon Road: Tanque Verde Road to Kolb Road/Airmen Memorial Bridge, Sister Jose Women’s Center, Sunset Road and Bridge, The Trinity Mixed Use Project, Townsend School Redevelopment, Tucson UNESCO City of Gastronomy, and Tucson Marketplace at the Bridges.

It was an inspiring night honoring amazing projects and people and we were happy to be included.
